Ripples International runs over 8 programs in Meru, Samburu and Isiolo in Kenya. We champion Children’s rights in Kenya. Our key objective is the rescue and rehabilitation of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). We run the Brenda Boone Hope Center (Tumaini) and New Start Center (Polaski Home). Our legal advisory service Adili (Access to Justice) helps the community understand and apply inheritance and family law matters. Boresha Health Clinic offers quality medical care and vaccination services to children. The Imarisha Community Services program empowers women and children in the poverty stricken areas through the development and coordination of self generating revenue activities, school feeding programs, and empowerment workshops.

OUR HISTORY
Ripples International has been instrumental in setting up over 79 women’s groups in remote areas of Kenya. Our work has taken us into the Meru North and Samburu regions where we find some of the most impoverished people in Kenya. These communities are strong, positive and hardworking despite their harsh living conditions. We take time to understand their culture, their problems and challenges before we begin teaching them micro-financial solutions that they can implement to generate an income for themselves.
OUR WORK
Since 2002, Ripples International has invested $2,000,000 towards the rescue and rehabilitation of sexually abused girls in Kenya. 10 key donors have supported our work from inception until today.We have 3400 documented success stories of girls and babies we’ve rescued from traumatic and humiliating sexual defilement and in many cases inevitable death. Ripples International has rehabilitated 3456 girls, rescued 402 babies and empowered more than 17,000 women with micro-enterprise resources and skills.
